Please reach us at trish@thesurrogacyagency.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No, part of the screening process is to ensure the surrogate is psychologically healthy and understands what surrogacy is. In addition to that, before an embryo is transferred, you and your surrogate will have completed legal contracts with your attorneys and then signed a Gestational Carrier Agreement, which gives all parental rights to you.
Of course! We strongly encourage our intended parents and surrogates to have frequent communication. When we begin to work on matching you, we will discuss with you how much (or how little) communication you want with your surrogate. Every parent has their own requirements, so we will discuss this with you to make sure we match you with a surrogate who wants a similar relationship and similar amount of communication.
The length of time it takes depends on several different factors. If you have already created embryos, it will be a quicker process. We will usually tell our intended parents that they should plan on around a year and a half from the time they begin with our agency until they have their child. This timeframe can be longer or shorter depending on certain things such as legal requirements and requirements of the IVF clinic for any testing or protocols for IVF treatment.
Our agency fee is one of the lowest in the industry. We understand how expensive surrogacy is, and we are in this to help create beautiful families, so we keep our agency fee as low as possible. We also have a referral program for parents referred to us by other parents or surrogates.
Thank you for your interest in working with The Surrogacy Agency on the path to parenthood.
